Philippe Robert is a French photographer who graduated from the Institute des Hautes Etudes Cinématographiques in France. Once graduated, he flies to Los Angeles where he studied cinematography at UCLA.Once his studies done he went back to France to direct several popular TV shows. After a couple of years he goes back to Los Angeles where he meets Tom Waits. During this time he starts his career as a photographer for SPIN magazine. Since then he has worked with LA Weekly, Interview Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and Time Magazine. After a couple of years he moves back in Europe where he worked with a numerous of magazine there too: VSD, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar Italy, Paris Match… He workes with the biggest Top Model in the world like Carla Bruni, the First Lady of France today. He met her when she was 17 and has made more than 40 photo shoots with her since. His most famous photos of her are the one taken for Happer’s Bazaar Italy taken in 1990. He describes them like the beginning of an Era, the Top Model Era, that period of time where the Models became Stars. His work was exposed in several exhibitions like DUBAI Fashion Week, the Photo Fashion Festival at Le Louvre Museum in Paris, Expo de Stars during the Cannes Festival, The Photo Fashion Festival in Cannes…
