Christiane Draffehn forms the beginning of her exciting creations like a Freudian stage designer, being also the writer of the bizzarre plays within in personal union. The combination of amazing virtuosity and perfection in photographic and postproduction technics with a most unique and individual artistic language opens up an unlimited space for a journey in secret environments of before unseen surreal fantasies. Based in Berlin and beside her originally studied profession as a painter, Christiane worked for several years as photographer, illustrator and artwork- and graphic designer for record companies, magazines, music and book publishers. Since the mid nineties as an independent artist she went through different experimental levels, resulting in opening up new and exciting horizons in developing and staging her refined and sophisticated photographic art and creating a very unique and personal style. Since then this became her main field of artistic expression. She has exhibited in Europe and the US and has a vast following of international collectors.
